That’s a (Soil)Wrap!

April 8, 2010

Some of you may have noticed a new  product on our availability.   We are now selling what we call Vegetable SoilWraps.  A SoilWrap is a type of container in which we pot assorted types of vegetables.  These are bottomless sleeves that your customers can pot directly into the soil.  The sleeve will then break down completely in the soil.  The SoilWrap pot is made by Mirel Bioplastics.  (www.mirelplastics.com)   Mirel ensures that the SoilWraps are biobased, sustainable, and biodegradable.  Perfect for customers that are looking for ways to be “green”.

Below are some pictures of the SoilWrap pots, and also of some veggies we have potted currently in the nursery.

You’ll notice the penny laying beside the individual pot.  Hopefully that helps you get a good feel for how big the pot is.  They are technically “pint” sized.

If you have questions about SoilWraps, call me (919-732-6594) or you can email me plantworksheather@gmail.com.

Happy Spring!

Heather

PS…Stay tuned for some annual pictures.
