Hey everyone!

Below are 6 videos I took today of all of our pansy houses.

Happy Friday!

October 21, 2011

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to let everyone know we still have plenty of pansies available. Next week I will post a video of the pansy houses so you can see how gorgeous they look.

Here’s a picture of a bouquet of Dahlias that Cindy brought up for me yesterday. Aren’t they beautiful?

Have a great weekend!

Heather

Remember the SoilWrap pots I keep mentioning? Hard to forget, right? Most of you are pretty familiar with them if you have ordered any of the Burpee vegetables in the past year.

Ball Horticulture has announced that this SoilWrap pot is now a USDA Certified Biobased Product!

What does this mean, you ask?

It means that the USDA is recognizing that SoilWrap pots have at least 85% of biobased content, and can now display a certification label, according to a release by Ball in September. The release also stated that the SoilWrap has been awarded USDA BioPreferred designation by the US Department of Agriculture, as well as being identified for Federal Procurement Preference.

You can visit www.biopreferred.gov  for more information regarding  USDA BioPreferred products.

You may also visit www.ballhort.com/sustainable to learn more about SoilWrap pots and other biopackaging innovations by Ball.

Exciting news, and an awesome way to market SoilWraps to your customers!

We hope you’re ok.

August 29, 2011

Hello everyone,

Hurricane Irene proved to be more of a nuisance to our customers around New Bern, Washington, Pamlico and other eastern parts of the state than she was here in Rougemont.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers, and we hope you have a speedy recovery from this unfortunate disaster.

Warmest regards,
All of us here at Plantworks Nursery

I just wanted to remind you that the NCNLA’s Summer Green Show is happening this week in Raleigh.  You can visit the website at the bottom of this blog for more information.

We will not have a booth at this show, but it is likely that you’ll see us around.

Here’s the website: http://www.ncnla.com

Click on the Events tab, and find the summer show.

Hey everyone!

Ever play the game where you have to pick out objects in a picture that don’t belong?  Sometimes those games are really hard because you have to focus and concentrate and the objects are really mixed in there.  I’m going to test your knowledge of Plantworks’ combo pots that we offered this year!

Below is a video that I took of the planters I potted in front of the office.  Aren’t they gorgeous?

This year I did them a little differently.  Since we had combo pots here at Plantworks, and I had around 30 planters to fill, I used some of our Plantworks combo pots, and just slid them in the planters.  Instant gratification, and only a quarter of the work!

Can you tell which are Plantworks combo pots, and which are the ones I planted?  You may need to reference my blog about the combo pots to figure it out (you can read that blog here: http://plantworksnursery.wordpress.com/2011/05/20/picture-of-plantworks-combo-pots/ )

If you need more clues, check out the pictures!

Still stumped?  Call me and we can talk about it 919-732-6594

Talk to you soon!

Heather

Hello!

Just a reminder: Plantworks will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, July 4th and 5th.  We will reopen on Wednesday July 6th.  We will not send any trucks out for deliveries until Thursday the 7th.

If you have any questions, you may call me (919-732-6594) or email me plantworksheather@gmail.com

I hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!

PS.  Am I the only one that thinks Monarda looks like a firework?
